Yours Truly

Do not LEAN on anyone more than yourself for the following:

- praise
- coaching
- reprimanding
- realistic evaluation of your behavior, performance, appearance
- cheerleading
- motivation
- goal setting
- daily evaluation
- pats on the back
- kicks in the butt
- harsh criticism
- devils advocate
- advocate
- mentor
- celebration of accomplishments
- sense of self
- self esteem
- love

Some of my most enjoyable, productive conversations are with myself.

Talk to yourself daily - But - be honest with yourself about yourself! There will be good and bad things every day. Hey, you're only human!

I am not sure why people try to kid themselves into believing things that aren't always true - I think they are cheating themselves out of the best life they could have. It's not easy - you have to take your own honest advice too. No rationalizing your way out of things!
People do con themselves. When I see this I wonder, are they capable of being honest with anyone else if they lie to themselves??

When you think the following, stop and also think about the parenthesis

- I tried my best (did I?)
- I didn't hurt her feelings (oh really?)
- I deserved to have that (and exactly what makes me better than anyone else?)
- I can't believe she did that (do I have all the facts?)

Be really honest with yourself - you don't always have to say it out loud (although I usually do).
If you really face yourself, you can accomplish great things!

I am so incredibly curious about your thoughts & how you coach yourself.
Please write me and share your stream of consciousness....
