The wearable life of your Smart & Sexy intimates can be a long and happy one, provided you treat your lingerie as the delicate articles that they are. Always follow the manufacturers suggested care instructions as they test and test and test the garment to determine the best way to extend the wearable life.
How to launder your bras
- Fasten all hooks & eyes
- Hand wash in cold water with a delicate-safe detergent. Plus, the washing machine’s agitator can damage underwires and delicate fabrics. If you have ever experienced an underwire that has popped out of its wire channel, this is why!
- Line dry. Never place your bras in a dryer as the heat will weaken the elastics.
- If you must machine wash, always place your delicates in a zippered mesh lingerie bag and wash in cold water. Remove immediately and line dry.
How to care for your bras
- Never wear a bra 2 days in a row. This will allow the elastics to “rest” and regain their shape.
- Alternate between 2-3 bras and hand wash in between wearings.
- Replace your bras every 6 months; elastics become worn and the fit becomes compromised. This is evident by the stretching of the hook & eye at the back of the bra, and the fraying of bra straps.
